Evan Schwarze was raised in Dayton, Ohio where he began studying art at an early age. Formal training began at age 5 when he was admitted to the School of Dayton Art Institute three years ahead of the minimum age of 8. Study continued on through high school before accepting a scholarship to the Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, Ohio where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.

After graduation, Evan relocated to Chicago, Illinois where he began working as an illustrator providing finished artwork to companies such as McDonald's and Hyatt Hotels. During this time, Evan began to travel to places such as the Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Italy, and Austria and begun to paint the places he was traveling, where life is more laid back and natural beauty is abundant. These paintings reflect the beauty and serenity of these areas as seen through the eyes of the artist.

The quality of Evan's work is evident in the strength of composition, the sensitivity to light and color, and the ability to capture the natural beauty of the subject. He sees in terms of design, positive and negative spaces, and forms described by light and shadow. With his creativity he transforms the subjects into works of art that capture the natural beauty and feel of the area, bringing us a little closer to some of the places we call paradise.
